My internet sabbatical

hi world,

so i a graduated from art school, got a new teaching gig, started teaching tapestry to some lovely people in my life and now I’M BACK to greet you internet people with all my news of art and textiles in Vancouver.

To celebrate spring I participated in the LUCKY SOCIAL at OCHI in Chinatown (just across from Blim!)  My work was installed in a little room on the 2nd floor that had existing fabric panels installed floor to ceiling.  I discharged (bleach) black material, resisted the fabric with Shibori Tie Dye and installed – oh about 20 metres of it in the back wall of the space.  I don’t have images yet, but I will update at a later time, stay tuned.

Thanks to Curatrix Mairin Cooley from www.dropoutvideo.com and The Lions Den for inviting me to be in the show.  And much love to Tanya for all the help with the install and slinging booze to art freaks.
